2. Early Life and career
Nabi Liu in September 2021
Born as Nabi Chikako Liu on April 27, 1994[10] in Seoul, South Korea[11], she later legally added a nickname as an alias, Lalisa, meaning the one being praised,[12] on the advice of a fortune teller in order to bring in prosperity but also the fidelity of those she would cross path with.[13] As the eldest child, she was raised by her korean-japanese mother and her chinese father as the next leader of their family.[14] She has a little sister named Minji Liu but use her western name as Evelynn Laurice.[15] Nabi and Minji's mother was born as Kang Myung-Joo and is now Liu Myung-joo.[17] Her husband was Ruo Xian Liu, a renowned leader of the Liu Group, passed away on March 6, 2019.[18] Nabi completed her education at Kaywon High School of the Arts and went on to study drama at the Korea National University of Arts, despite the future that was already prepared for her as the next leader of the Liu family. Her parents were against it, but Nabi didn't let to them the choice and conceded to take the CEO seat in exchange of those normal study years in Arts.[19][20] Then she started a career as rounded artist, being all together a singer, dancer, model and an actress.
2.1 __2019–present: __
Since the tragic death of her father, Nabi has had to stop every activity she has had in the entertainment industry. Leaving the light of her early life to seclude herself behind a desk and start what she's been prepared to be since birth: leader of the controversial Liu Group.[21]
But Nabi didn't want to follow the exact steps that her father wanted her to follow. Instead, as soon as she was inaugurating her new office in the tallest tour of Seoul, Nabi fired 90% of the male employees keeping only a handful of capable men that she consciously selected by herself, making the first group being lead and mostly hired 90% of female workers only.
"I believe in a better world made by women. If the world is sick today it's because we let the men way too long managing it. Meanwhile, all the mothers around the world could handle houses and kids like professional. Today, Group Liu, will commit themselves to trust women into making this world in a better place." for Singles Magazine March 2021 issue.[22]
Nabi Liu supports and finances a lot of foundations to help young girls to realize their dreams and turns them into creative business women in every field.
